The Southshore Companies, through an affiliated entity, recently purchased the former PEMCO facility in Bridgman, Michigan. This property consisting of about 20 acres and a main building of approximately 130,000 square feet is a prior heavy industrial site that has been repurposed for Southshore’s leasing activities. The property was rescued from a tax foreclosure that would have hit the citizens of Bridgman and Berrien County with a tax liability payback of more than $500,000. Southshore’s first tenant in the building is United Container Co., a Michigan-based recycled corrugated packaging distributor.  Southshore looks forward to doing business in Bridgman, Michigan in a facility that has been brought back to economic life.
