The evolution of logistics technology is similar to the evolution of technology in most industries. There is a customer demand for increasing sophistication and capability with seamless data integration between customer systems and our systems. These changes are influencing the logistics and supply chain technology market.
Southshore’s warehouse logistics sites all use a common warehouse management system platform. However, many of our customer relationships depend on Southshore using the customer’s ERP system, most often SAP. Southshore is deeply experienced in using SAP, JD Edwards and similar warehouse management modules with scanning, Advance Ship Notices and other EDI real time transaction processing and reporting.
Depending on a customer’s requirements, we can use our warehouse management system or the customer’s system to support our third party logistics services. Southshore's technology capability includes customizing system interfaces to ensure data integrity between our customer's systems and our systems.
